Smart and sustainable: AI, BIM and requirements in terms of the energy transition

 

The European Facade Summit will take place from 29.02-01.03.2024 in Vienna as a new cross-technology congress for facade construction and facade planning. With a focus on the products curtain walling and ventilated curtain walling, the focus will be on forward-looking technologies and innovations, as well as current analyses of the current challenges facing the industry.

The target group includes the entire industry, i.e. manufacturers of all technologies and supplier companies as well as builders, planners and architects or companies from the software and consulting sector.

Sustainability and digitalization are the big topics of our time. The topics of the lectures include the requirements to be met here with regard to the building envelope, how AI and BIM will change design and construction in the future and where the intersections of sustainable solutions and intelligent systems lie. Three thematic blocks: “Architecture of the Future”, VHF vs. Curtain Wall” and “Facade of the Future” accentuate the selection here, those slots on facade systems (Rainscreen vs. Curtain Wall) will take place in parallel.

EFS 2024: Pioneering Sustainability & Innovation to Future

From Februar 2 to March 1, 2024, the Meliá Vienna – in Dominique Perrault’s DC Tower – will serve as the hub for experts in the facade construction and planning industry during the European Facade Summit (EFS). With a focus on intelligent and sustainable facade solutions, the congress provides an overview of current developments and looks towards the future with emerging, increasingly interconnected technologies, rising urbanization and gentrification, and the growing challenges associated with climate change.

Innovation and Technology at the Core

At the heart of the congress, however, are novel and pioneering technologies and innovations at product-level: Emphasis is placed on curtain wall facades and ventilated curtain walls (rainscreen cladding), with presentations occurring in parallel, while others, without product specifications, address the entire audience. The target group of the congress, which covers a wide range of topics and features prominent speakers, encompasses the entire industry.
