Program of the 2nd Vienna Window Convention

The Vienna Window Convention looks at current opportunities and challenges for the window industry. We analyze the status quo of the international markets, show current trends regarding sustainability and digitalization and present success factors for the industry. We discuss the effects of the current crisis and look at new ways in digital sales. Innovation and success strategies stand next to practice-oriented solution approaches. Keynote speeches, empirical market analyses and open discussions are part of the conference, as well as an evening event and an award ceremony.

Keynotes & Topics: Digitalization l Sustainability | Markets

Sustainability is one of the central topics of our time across all industries and the window industry likewise needs clear strategies and solution concepts for all materials. Patrick Seitz | Aluplast outlines a solution approach for a more sustainable path into the future in his keynote. Johann Brandstetter | Internorm and Jens Eberhard | Oknoplast will focus on the topics of positioning and sales. Both are safely leading their companies on an expansion course. Johann Brandstetter provides insights into the structure of Internorm’s strong sales network and Jens Eberhard shows strategies for building a close-knit sales system and increasing brand value.

We address the topic of advancing digitalization in several ways: We look at digital sales concepts with Federico Caiumi | Voilap Digital and Patric de Hair presents the online portal Plan.One as an interface between the digital architectural planning level and the manufacturers of building products. Roger Wollhaupt | Jansen shows new developments in BIM (Building Information Modeling) for the industry and smart home expert Christopher Strobel | CS Consulting presents future-proof concepts from this field. The sales strategy is the focus of the presentation by Johann Brandstetter.

    Federico Caiumi is CEO of Voilàp Digital, which is part of the Italian Voilàp Holding, the world leader in window profile machines for PVC and aluminum. Voilap Digital was born in 2011 with the aim of implementing a sophisticated e-commerce platform for windows and doors. Today, the company has become a fixed point for the world of Retail 4.0. Federico Caiumi explains the interaction of digital components with classic sales channels.

    Plan.One offers architects and manufacturers a search and comparison portal for building products and thereby forms an interface between the digital planning level of architecture and the manufacturers of building products. The product search engine offers software extensions for all common BIM planning systems. Patric de Hair, founder and CEO, will speak at the congress about the opportunities that the Plan.One search and comparison portal offers in digital collaboration.

    Jens Eberhard is CEO of Oknoplast Germany, a Polish family-owned company that is now one of the leading manufacturers of vinyl windows in Europe. Oknoplast faces the great challenge of not only stirring up the market as a price leader, but also building up a close-knit distribution system, defining a brand value and positioning itself against a large number of other players on the largest window markets. Mr. Eberhard will explain the strategy for this in his presentation.
